There are many materials for outdoor tables and chairs. Here we briefly introduce three main cleaning methods of these materials:

Coniferous wood is less durable than hard wood and is currently expensive. After careful care, cork life tends to be about ten years. In order to prolong the service life as far as possible, the first step is to soak in preservatives, and the second is to smear furniture oil. Use anti-ultraviolet oil to reduce the possibility of discoloration and cracking. If cork furniture is placed in a dark area, it is possible to breed fungi, which should be treated with sterilization solution.

Metals are better maintained. Daily maintenance with warm soapy water and non-abrasive sponge wipe. However, if scratches are not treated in time, rust will occur. Therefore, once found, the scratches will be removed with steel wool and then painted. In order to prevent discoloration and clean regularly, it is better to store it in winter.

Rattan furniture has strong anti-ultraviolet and weather resistance, so it does not need special maintenance. If it's synthetic rattan furniture, use wet cloth to clean dirt. However, if it is natural rattan, try not to get wet, it is best to gently clean the dirt with a brush. Regular inspection of the frame under the rattan table or chair, usually steel products, requires normal metal maintenance.
